Ozark Trip

Tyler and I go to the Lake of the Ozarks every year with his office and stay in a house on the lake. This year we decided that we should also take a family trip with our parents and my sister's family to the same house. We all had a really good time and hope we can have more family vacations in the future. She likes to be on her stomach--it makes her happy:)

Tyler, Patty, and Mark posing for the camera.

Lori and Sam were loving the house. Sam crawled around exploring anything and everything.

Grandma Jane and Olivia were super excited when we got to the house. They were both taking pictures like crazy. Olivia is a little photographer and takes some great shots.

Uncle Tyler loves his niece and nephews, however, Sam must be off exploring somewhere . . .

Grandpa Mark enjoys feeding his granddaughter. But when it comes to cryin he's not so sure:)

Amelia apparently didn't want to pose for the picture but her cousin's Olivia and Ben were happy to do so. Hey where is Sam?

Tyler and I are happy but Millie is not:)

Millie's first experience in the water. I put her feet in just for a minute. She didn't cry too much.

All that swimming made her hungry and then daddy had to burp her.

She is enjoying a nap in the shade. She loved sleeping outside by the water at nap time.

Whoa look at Markgyver's muscles. The kids called him that because he is so handy and can do just about anything:)

We rented jet skis for a day and had a lot of fun. John and Tyler were out on the lake by themselves for a while being wild. We couldn't pry John off of it:) Just kidding--Olivia loved riding though especially with her aunt Angela:) Sorry John.

Look at these young ladies.

We don't have too many photos as a family yet but here we are after a day in the sun.

Lots of Visitors

Grandpa Mark and Patty were Millie's first visitors in the hospital.

Grandma Jane and Grandma Trudy love their new granddaughter

Megs looks good holding that baby:) Oh wait, let's have your wedding first:)

Libby looks good holding a baby too--she should get one of her own! She's a married lady now!
Aunt Natalie stopped by for a visit too! She isn't new to it though because she is already an aunt.
Michelle looks like she might want another baby!

I don't know how I managed to only get a picture with uncle John holding Millie--sorry aunt Lori I don't have any pictures of you with Millie yet:( Uncle John always says he is Amelia's favorite uncle named John:) I don't have any pictures with aunt Amy either but both aunts have watched her a couple times!

Marissa will have her own little one soon enough. We can't wait until we meet him/her in September!

Grandpa French came for a visit in June. Those are all of the pictures I have so far of visitors but she has had many more . . .

A BIG Adjustment for All

Millie's first bath and trust me she was not pleased with us.

She loves her bouncy seat more than her crib sometimes.

Just relaxing.

Now that the new addition is here, sleeping at night is something of the past, so we've gotta get little cat naps in whenever we can. It looks like daddy just got home from work.

Millie is also a cat napper:)

She smiles too!

Welcome Amelia Ann

Amelia Ann Lainson was born on May 7, 2009 at 10:35pm. She weighed 8 pounds and 2 ounces and was 20 1/2 inches long. She is absolutely beautiful--we are very proud parents.

I was so happy the hard part was over but I must say I was in some major pain!! At least I had a shower:)

It looks like Millie is playing peek-a-boo with daddy. This was one of our first days home.

Millie's jaundice count was high so she wore the billie lights for three and half days!! She didn't mind it as much as mommy and daddy did. She really enjoys sleeping with her arms up by her head like her mommy and grandpa Mark!

Gosh is there a resemblance between these two or what?
